The boring page

Privacy

Last time Maree looked at this: March 2026. If we change it, the date changes too. Probably.

Who we are

Neonaveiro is the surf hire shed at Bluff. Parking and the address we give people is 10 SH 1, Bluff, Southland Region, New Zealand. Phone 03 212 7761. If you want a person rather than a page, thats the number. Email, when the laptop is awake, is [email protected].

The form on the website

The note form asks for your name, a phone number, what youre after, and a day. It does not get sent to a server and we dont keep a copy in any inbox. It only sits on your screen so you can read it down the phone or screenshot it. Close the tab and its gone. We did it this way on purpose. Maree doesnt want strangers phone numbers living in a website.

The book at the counter

If you ring, text, or turn up, we write the useful bits in a paper book: name, number, which board, what time you took it. Thats so we know who has the yellow shortboard and who to ring if the southerly comes in early. The book stays in the shed. We dont sell the list, we dont hand it to anyone who isnt behind the counter, and we cross a line out when the season is done or when you ask us to.

Lessons are the same book, plus whether youve surfed before, so Tane doesnt put a first-timer on the wrong board. Card payments, if the eftpos machine is in a good mood, are handled by the bank. We see the amount. We dont see your full card number and we dont want to.

Maps, and the bits that arent ours

The come-by and contacts pages show a Google map of the car park. That map is Googles. Opening it can set their cookies and tell them a browser looked at a map of Bluff. If youd rather not, use the address above and dont load the map, or open it in whatever you already use for directions. We dont run ads and we dont drop our own tracking on you. The site is just pages.

Kids

Under 16s surf with an adult. We dont want a kids phone number in the book if a parents will do. The gaming machines and the beer are 18+, which is a house rule, not a data rule, but its in the same sentence so nobody misses it.

Asking us to forget it

Ring or email and say which number to cross out. Well do the book. We cant wipe a screenshot you took of your own form, thats on your phone. We also cant wipe whatever Google kept from the map.

Questions about this page: contacts. The hire rules, which are a different pile of paper, are the terms.
